The Organic Cotton Story
Where our cotton actually comes from
We get asked this often, so here's the long-form answer. Every kilogram of cotton in our Organic Cotton Hoodie and Classic Crew-Neck T-Shirt is traceable back to a small cluster of GOTS-certified farms in the Aegean basin — a region with the right combination of dry summers, rich alluvial soil, and growers who've been working with cotton for three generations.

What "organic" actually changes
The shorthand version: no synthetic pesticides, no GMO seed, no chemical defoliants at harvest. The longer version is about soil. Conventional cotton tends to deplete topsoil quickly — the farms we work with rotate cotton with chickpeas and lentils, which restore nitrogen and break pest cycles naturally.
"When you stop forcing the soil, the soil rewards you. Our yields aren't bigger than the conventional farms next door — but our fibre is stronger, and our land will still be productive when our grandchildren take over." — Elif K., 3rd-generation farmer, Aydın province
From the field, the cotton lint moves to a single weaving facility in the same region. Single-source means we can audit the supply chain end-to-end and pass that traceability through to our certifications: GOTS Organic, OEKO-TEX Standard 100, and (since this season) Fair Wear Foundation.

Why it matters for you
Two practical differences you'll feel:
- The fabric softens faster — fewer chemical treatments mean the cotton arrives with more of its natural character intact
- The colour stays cooler — vegetable-derived dyes hold their tone for many more wash cycles
